Cloud API errors
Use HTTP status codes to diagnose cloud API requests.
When a request fails, record its HTTP status and the error message before following the steps below.
HTTP status
| Status | Check | Action |
|---|---|---|
400 | Request format, image, and robot state | Check the JSON text, data URL, and 8-value state against the input format |
401 | API key | Use a valid key in the Authorization: Bearer header |
403 | Account or model access | Check access in the Developer Console, then query /models with the same key |
404 | URL and model ID | Check the Base URL in your connection settings and use a model ID returned by /models |
413 | Request size | Reduce the image file size, re-encode it, and submit again |
429 | Request rate, concurrency, or account balance | Read the error message and account usage; reduce concurrency or wait before another request |
5xx | Temporary service failure | Keep the error message and check again after the service recovers |
See the Developer Console to manage your account and API keys.
Timeouts and connection failures
Check the network and base URL, then request GET /models to verify connectivity and authentication. Once model listing succeeds, check the inference input.
After an inference timeout, the camera image and robot state may have changed. Capture a fresh observation before another request. A network error must not cause actions already sent to the robot to execute twice.
Unreadable responses
A successful request returns an execute_actions tool call. Its function.arguments is a JSON string containing output. Check that the action sequence has valid numeric rows with 8 values each. See the Cloud API for the format.
If the response contains HTML, a login page, or other non-JSON content, check that you used the API domain rather than the Developer Console URL.
Contact support
Include the request time, endpoint, HTTP status, error message, and the request ID from the X-Request-ID response header, when available. Do not include the API key or original image in the issue description.
