Account and API keys

Create credentials and check model access and account usage.

Manage your cloud account and credentials in the Developer Console. Use the API key you create there with the production model API at https://api.pokebot.com/v1.

Create a key

  1. Sign in or create an account.
  2. Open API key management and create a key. Name it after the robot or application that will use it.
  3. Check the key's model access and available balance, then save it on the computer running your application.

Keep API keys out of public code and shared messages. Use separate keys for separate applications and revoke keys you no longer need.

Configure the endpoint

The production Base URL is https://api.pokebot.com/v1. Keep the /v1 suffix in your configuration. Use this endpoint for API requests and https://platform.pokebot.com for account management.

Set the endpoint and enter the API key you created in the Developer Console:

PLATFORM_BASE_URL="https://api.pokebot.com/v1"
read -r -s -p 'API key: ' PLATFORM_API_KEY; printf '\n'
export PLATFORM_BASE_URL PLATFORM_API_KEY

The examples throughout this guide read these two environment variables. In another shell, use its corresponding syntax. In the local console, enter the same address and key in model settings.

Use a model id from the list available to your key. Do not infer an API identifier from a display name. See Observations and actions.

Check usage

Use the developer console to check your balance, usage, and model access. Your account page provides the applicable credit and billing information.

For continuous tasks, RoboAPI manages model sessions and reports execution receipts. See Tasks and sessions when building your own integration.
